Welcome to Sleep This Week, where we finally admit the obvious, the sleep world is a glorious mess.
I mean that with love.
Our so-called “industry” is really a patchwork quilt of mattress folk, wellness warriors, lab-coat researchers, med-tech believers, corporate wellbeing consultants, and the occasional government department stumbling into sleep thinking, “Oh… this matters now?”
Everyone’s doing something.
Almost no one knows what everyone else is doing.
We’re siloed, scattered, and if we’re honest, slightly allergic to talking to each other.
That’s why Sleep This Week exists.
Once a week, I pull together the most interesting, surprising, or eyebrow-raising things happening across the sleep universe. Think of it as your friendly industry round-up, the news you missed, the trends worth watching, the breakthroughs worth knowing, and the occasional half-baked idea worth a quiet chuckle.
You’ll get:

I’m James Wilson, also known as The Sleep Geek. I founded Frankly, home of the no-nonsense sleep approach, after working with more than 100,000 poor sleepers and seeing first-hand how confusing, moralising and impractical much sleep advice had become.
